Frequently asked questions

Which states have no sales tax?

Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon have no statewide sales tax. Alaska allows local sales taxes, so some Alaska cities still charge one.

Which state has the highest sales tax?

Louisiana, with a combined state and average local rate of 10.13% as of July 1, 2026.
